Hello! My name is Angela Piccolo! I am a designer and currently a graduate student at the University of Washington (UW). My goal for receiving my Master's Degree is to hone in on universal design and help make design accessible and inclusive.
I started out by receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Originally I wanted to go to graduate school to become a therapist and specialize in helping individually with special needs or family members. I have a very special place in my heart for people with disabilities and unfair situations.
However, the other career I was always interested in was design. I thought it could be a fun hobby but I continually found my self craving design more and more. So, I decided to go back to school and I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts, with the goal to combine my psychology and design degrees. I am very pleased with my journey to grad school and I am excited to see how far I can take my passions of design and empathy for others.
